Met Makeup Magic: Makeup Inspiration Straight from the Met Gala

The First Monday in May (Met Monday) is arguably one of the most magical days of the entire year. I mean, when else do you get to see Katy Perry the Chandelier, or Zendaya literally transforming into Cinderella before your very eyes? Each and every enchanting and outrageous fashion choice is carefully considered and crafted months before the event, from the accessories right up to the makeup.

This year’s makeup was all about nudes and pinks, with pops of colour here and there. For the most part, the fashion reigned supreme when it came to bright and bold colours, with a soft glam approach when it came to the makeup. Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Kim Kardashian were all amongst the many who rocked a nude lip. While others like Lady Gaga and Priyanka Chopra choose to accentuate their outfits with a pop of colour of their lips. Pink was a popular choice for blush and eyeshadow with stars like Lili Reinhart, Emma Roberts and Hailey Bieber choosing a pretty in pink vibe.
